Union Rescue Mission prepares to feed the multitude

LITTLE ROCK - Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and some Arkansas families are wondering how they will be able to put food on the table.

The Union Rescue Mission will be helping approximately 500 families in the Central Arkansas area this year to have a Thanksgiving meal.

In preparation for Thanksgiving Day, The Union Rescue Mission will make up 600 Thanksgiving food boxes for low-income families in Central Arkansas on Saturday, November 23, at 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. More than 50 volunteers are coming to the Mission at 1650 East Washington in North Little Rock.

The Feeding the Multitude food drive is conducted annually by the Union Rescue Mission. Local churches, schools, and civic organizations collect canned food items, boxed stuffing, cake mixes, and frosting.
