Operation Rescue Water Drive Kicks Off

(KATV) Little Rock - Hot weather has arrived here in the greater Little Rock area and for many of the areas homeless, that means additional suffering.

The Union Rescue Mission (URM) has kicked off its annual Operation Rescue Water Drive.

Organizers are trying to raise 15,000 bottles of water to pass out to the homeless population during the summer.

If anyone is interested in donating bottles of water, they may drop it off at 2921 Confederate Blvd., Little Rock, AR 72206.

The Union Rescue Mission will take water out to different homeless areas in Little Rock every Friday afternoon, and days the weather is 95 degrees or hotter. The water drive will go through the end of September.
