Two men are being held at the Faulkner County Jail while police at the University of Central Arkansas investigate a reported rape at Bear Village Apartments, spokesman Arch Jones said Thursday.
A 23-year-old woman, who is not a university student, reported she was raped Wednesday night by a 23-year-old man, who is also not a student. The man and woman knew each other and were visitors to Bear Village. Neither are from Conway, Jones said.
The suspect and another man -- who misrepresented his identity to police -- were taken into custody at about 9:28 p.m. Wednesday night and will be held 48 hours while police investigate, Jones said.
