Update: Bryant Superintendent On Paid Leave

A follow up now to the story about the Bryant School District Superintendent being placed on paid leave.

We obtained the minutes from the school board meeting on Monday. Board member David Moore made a motion to suspend Randy Rutherford. The board approved unanimously to pass that motion, but Moore also recommended that the employment contract as superintendent be terminated.

As we reported Wednesday, Rutherford was placed on paid leave for thirty days. The district isn't saying why he was placed on leave.
