UPDATE: All Uverse issues resolved; credit promised

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) - A spokesperson for AT&T told KATV Thursday afternoon that all customers affected by a recent Uverse service outage have been restored. The company said the issue was related to a server complex.

Their entire statement reads:

"U-verse service has been restored for allcustomers affected by the outage. The software problem causing the issues wasresolved by AT&T engineers early this morning. We are not pleased it tookso long to fix the issue. AT&T will provide a credit to customers who wereaffected. We know our customers count on their U-verse service and we apologizefor the inconvenience."

When asked what form that "credit" would take, spokesperson Anita Smith said it will be a cash credit toward your bill - not a promotion or discount on other services. The exact amount of each customer's credit will be based on how long they were without service.

The credit will show up on customer bills within 30 - 60 days. Smith encouraged anyone who doesn't see their credit in that time to call AT&T to make sure they receive it.
