UPDATE: KATV's Matt Johnson reports from Stone County that 3-year-old Landen Trammell has been found alive.
"He's a tough little guy," Landen's cousin told KATV. The three-year-old was found covered in mud in a creek bed near the search command center.
He has been returned to his family and was checked out of the hospital after being treated for minor cuts and bruises, and exposure.
ONIA, Ark. (AP) - Hundreds of volunteers and law enforcement officers are searching the woods in north Arkansas for a 3-year-old boy who wandered off more than 24 hours ago.
State Sen. Missy Irvin of Mountain View says more than 300 people are searching for Landen Cade Trammell, who was last seen at his home in the rural town of Onia northwest of Mountain View. The boy was wearing only Spiderman underwear.
Officials are using a helicopter to search from the air and dogs and all-terrain vehicles to supplement the search on the ground.
Irvin is serving as family spokesman. She says the boy's grandfather is among the people searching.
Irvin says anyone else who wants to volunteer should check in at a staging area in town.
