Volunteer cleaning group finds homicide victim

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) - A volunteer group found an apparent homicide victim while picking up trash Saturday morning.

According to Little Rock Police Department spokesperson Sergeant Cassandra Davis, just after 9 a.m., volunteers found the body of a female victim in a wooded area near the 7600 block of Kanis Road.

Davis said the victim was likely placed in the woods after suffering an apparent trauma at another location.

Police have no suspect or motive information available.
