Walk for the Waiting focuses on foster families and adoption
Three local non-profit organizations joined forces Saturday as they work to find loving homes for waiting children.
"Walk for the Waiting" benefits the C.A.L.L., Immerse Arkansas and Project Zero. The groups are working to raise awareness about the need for foster families and adoption.
1,200 additional foster families are needed right now. 500 children who have had their parents' rights terminated and are ready to be adopted. More than 200 children who didn't find a family will age out of the system this year.
