West Little Rock parents demand middle school

A group of West Little Rock parents are demanding that the district build a Middle School in their community.

The educational activist group Arkansas Learns is supporting the parents. THey claim that it is unfair that only six of LRSD's 52 schools are located in West Little Rock.

District officials have long said they want to build a Middle School in West Little Rock, but claim it is a big challenge. The parents who attended Thursday's School Board meeting say they are sick of the delays and want to see action soon, although they are encouraged by the hiring of new LRSD Superintendent Dexter Suggs.
