Wild Winter Country opens its gates
NORTH LITTLE ROCK - Wild Winter Country opened for its 2013-14 season Friday evening.
A ceremonial ribbon cutting was held Friday morning at 11:00 for the annual event at Wild River Country on Crystal Hill Road in North Little Rock. Gates opened to the public at 5:00 p.m. and the event will continue through March.
Park guests can play in real snow, build snowmen, throw snowballs at targets and go snow tubing. There will also be holiday decorations, lights, music and visits from Santa from November 22nd through December 23rd.
Photos can be taken with Santa and his helpers in the lodge from November 23rd through December 23rd on Saturdays from 10am -6pm and Sundays from 12p-6pm.
Wild Winter Country will have a snow park admission of $5.43 plus tax for all guests which includes access to Snowball Alley, Polar Bear Playground and Cub Paw Raceway - a sledding area for toddlers. Children age 24-months and under are admitted for free. Each snow tubing session on Fleming Electric Mountain runs for 90-minutes and requires a separate fee of $16.29 plus tax. Snow tubing does not require entrance into the snow park play area but can be purchased as an add-on.
