7OYS helps get felony warrants issued
LITTLE ROCK (KATV) -
Several subjects of past Seven-On-Your-Side reports are facing arrest this week.
On Thursday a negligent homicide warrant was issued and one felony theft suspect turned herself in.
Lots of husbands and wives stop by their spouse's workplace.
But for one White county couple there was no time for chit-chat Thursday morning.
Dee Woodle is a long-time and award winning criminal investigator with the White county sheriff's department.
Thursday morning the stripes Woodle has helped put so many suspects in over the years were being worn by his wife.
Diana Woodle turned herself in and was released on a $20,000.00 bond less than an hour later.
Woodle is accused of stealing over $360,000.00 over a five-year period from her former employer, the Southeast White County Water Association.
The head of the Arkansas Sheriff's Association says the spouse of a law officer being charged with or even convicted of a crime should not impact that officer's ability to serve, although Mike Godfrey admits he could not recall a case in which the spouse of an officer was convicted of a felony.
Woodle's former colleague, Brandon Johnson, is also accused of stealing from the water company. He remains at large.
Another individual being sought by police is James Holt.
An arrest warrant was issued for Holt on Thursday, 11 months after the truck he was driving crashed in rural Yell county...killing his 19 year-old fiance and their young son.
Holt had drugs in his system at the time of the wreck. We talked with family members of Heather Walker two weeks ago and they shared their fear that Holt may escape charges.
That has now changed.
It is not yet known whether Holt will face a felony or misdemeanor charge. We will find out after he is in custody.
The likely first appearance for both Diana Woodle and, once he is arrested, Brandon Johnson will be August first.
