Arkansas Symphony Orchestra presents “A Tribute to Ella” and “Beethoven & Blue Jeans”

The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra is looking forward to its concerts: “A Tribute to Ella” and “Beethoven & Blue Jeans”
“A Tribute to Ella” honors music legend Ella Fitzgerald in what would have been her 100th year. Concerts are March 10 at 7:30 p.m. and March 11 at 3:00 p.m. at the Robinson Center. Three singers will accompany the symphony in song tributes.
The program showcases some of Ella's hits from the American Songbook, including tunes like It Don’t Mean A Thing If It Ain’t Got That Swing, How High The Moon, I Got Rhythm, Summertime, A-Tisket, A Tasket, Blue Skies, Someone To Watch Over Me and Bewitched.
Arkansas Symphony Orchestra is also gearing up for its annual “Beethoven & Blue Jeans” event. An annual favorite is back on April 14 at 7:30 p.m. and April 15 at 3:00 p.m. at the Robinson Center. Musicians will be performing Beethoven classics in casual wear – blue jeans. Guests are encouraged to come out an enjoy the symphony in casual garb for music and fun. ASO will host a street party outside the Robinson Center the hour and half before the concert begins for food and fun.
