Maggie Benton of Greater Jonesboro has been crowned the new Miss Arkansas 2017.

Benton was crowned by the outgoing Miss Arkansas, Savannah Skidmore, and Miss America, Savvy Shields Saturday night.

As Miss Arkansas, Benton won a $30,000 scholarship and more than $75,000 in awards, wardrobe, transportation, and gifts.

The other Top Five Finalists of the night were:

  • 1st runner-up: University of Arkansas Darynne Dahlem
  • 2nd runner-up: Arkansas Delta Ashley Ehrhart
  • 3rd runner-up: Northeast Arkansas Bailey Moses
  • 4th runner-up: White River Claudia Raffo

The 80th Miss Arkansas Scholarship Pageant was held at a packed Robinson Center.
