Breakfast Pizza & Simple Salad, 5/22/13

      Pizza dough- I use the store bought that is sold in the biscuit section.

      1 cup marinara sauce

      1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated

      1 cup mushrooms, thinly sliced

      1/2 onion, diced

      sausage or Canadian bacon

      salt and pepper


      1. Prepare pizza crust according to direction on the package.

      2. Layer on top of pizza dough, marinara, mozzarella cheese,onions, and sausage, salt and pepper to taste. Bake at 425 till dough juststarts to brown, about 18 to 20 minutes.

      3. Remove pizza from over, make 4{}small indentions evenlyaround pizza,{}gently crack eggs in the indentions{}and return to overfor an additional 5 to 7 minutes.

      If I were serving this for dinner, I would make a simple salad to put on top ofthe pizza.

      Simple Salad

      Fresh Greens

      2 tablespoons red wine vinegar

      2 tablespoons olive oil

      salt and pepper

      1. Mix together vinegar, oil, salt and pepper in a bowl

      2. Toss dressing with greens and gentle place on top of pizza.
