1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon granulated garlic
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
8 chicken thighs
1 tablespoon oil
1 onion, sliced
2 celery stalks, diced
1 cup carrots, baby or diced
1 cup sliced mushrooms
2 tablespoons flour
1 bottle of brown ale
1/2 cup chicken broth
1. Mix together brown sugar, chili powder, salt, pepper, garlicand red pepper flakes. Rub your mixture in to chicken thighs and let set for afew minutes.
2. Heat oil in skillet and brown chicken on each side. Set chickenaside and pour out all of oil except 1 tablespoon.
3. In same skillet, add the onions, celery, carrots and mushrooms,cook vegetables for a few minutes to high heat.
4. Add ale and chicken broth to vegetables. Bring to a simmer andreturn chicken to pan.
5 Cover and bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
If your skillet is not oven proof, transfer to a baking dishbefore baking.
