      Griddled Salami Rounds, 7/12/13

      Ingredients

      • French bread, 1/4-inch thick slices
      • Genoa (or you favorite hard Salami), medium sliced
      • Fresh tomatoes, 1/4-inch thick slices
      • Fresh Mozzarella cheese , 1/4-inch thick slices
      • Fresh basil leaves
      • Extra-virgin olive oil
      • Dijon mustard and Herbed Mayo

      Directions

      Lightlybrush the outside of each bread slice with oil.{} Layer with one sliceSalami, tomato, a couple of Basil leaves, cheese and another slice ofSalami.{} Griddle over medium-high heat until warmed through and griddlemarks on bread.{} Serve with mustard and mayo.
