Fruit of the Vine: Arkansas’s Italian Community and Foodways

1 # Whole milk ricotta cheese

¼ Cup crushed pistachios

2 Tablespoons basil

3 Tablespoons honey

½ - ¾ Cup powdered sugar

Heavy cream as needed

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and combine well. Thin with heavy cream, continuing to stir, until you reach your desired consistency. Put cheese mixture in a piping bag and fill cannoli shells.
