McLarty Drives Education Scholarship awarded to Central High student

KATV's second McLarty Drives Education scholarship winner is surprised at school with her $2,500 check.

That student, Jenifer Carmona-Garcia, attends Little Rock Central High School. Her teachers say she's a great student and is also active in the community. She's involved in a college readiness program and is the president of her school's cultural club.

She says it's her dream to go to college and she hopes to earn a degree in social work.

Jenifer's teachers say she was their No. 1 choice for this scholarship, and they're thankful the McLarty automotive group decided to do something for well-rounded students who are succeeding inside and outside the classroom.
