Camp Aldersgate holds annual fish fry
Little Rock (KATV) —
The 34th annual Camp Aldersgate fish fry was held October 8.
The event kicked off with a catfish lunch served with all the fixings.
Folks could compete in a fishing derby, shop around at a craft sale, and even have their face painted.
The fish fry raises money for camp's mission to create a life-changing experience for individuals with special needs.
Mary Virden's son attends camp, she had this to say about the experience, "It has helped Miko grow more socially, it has helped him make more friends, it has helped him get away from his mom for a whole weekend, more independence."
Camp Aldersgate is Arkansas's only non-profit uniquely dedicated to serving children with special needs and senior adults in a camp like an environment.
