Conway police warn residents to lock vehicles

The Conway Police Department is using social media to warn residents that they need to lock their cars after a sting of break-ins this week.

A recent surveillance video posted by the department shows two men attempting to break into vehicles around 4:00 a.m. Sunday.

“This is a prime example of why you should always lock your car doors. They go door to door and pull the handles and then they find ones that’s open and they go in, it’s just easier for them. We’re hoping by seeing that video you lock your door, it lessens you becoming the victim of this sort of crime because they will keep moving most often,” said LaTresha Woodruff with the Conway Police Department.

If you recognized the men in the video, you are asked to call police.

In the meantime, the department also recommends that residents refrain from leaving valuables, garage door clickers and car key inside of their vehicles.
