A family pet was injured by shots fired outside a home on Allyson Circle in Little Rock early Tuesday morning.

Police talked to the owners, a 32-year-old man and 30-year-old woman, who said they heard several gunshots outside of the home shortly after letting the dog out at approximately 2:13 a.m.

The man said the dog was struck on its back leg.

According to the owners, the shots came from an older, lime green Ford Mustang, but they were not able to give a description of the suspect.

Officers also found three bullet holes in a window of the home and six spent shell casings on the roadway.
