Fatal wreck temporarily closes portion of Pulaski County highway

State Police are working a fatal wreck that closed down a portion of Highway 67/167 in Pulaski County on Wednesday morning.

At 9:43 a.m., the Arkansas Department of Transportation said the roadway had reopened after a wreck in the southbound lanes of the highway near Redmond Rd. in Jacksonville caused the highway to shut down at approximately 8 a.m. The roadway was expected to be closed until at least 9:30 a.m., according to a tweet from the department.

ARDOT says traffic was diverted at Main Street and Jacksonville police say alternate routes included Highway 161 or Highway 107.
