Little Rock police say three children were inside a home that was shot at during a dispute between family members on Thursday night.

At 9:42 p.m., officers responded to the 5300 block of Westminster Dr. in reference to shots fired.

Officers met with Sheila Brown, 29, who told police that her husband, 29-year-old Travis Brown, got into an argument with her brother, 21-year-old Jason Washington, and punches were thrown.

According to the police report, Sheila said her husband shot two rounds in the air to get Washington to leave and he replied that he was going to come back and shoot up the home.

Washington left and returned a short time later with an unknown suspect and shots were fired. A neighbor told police he witnessed Travis possibly shooting back from the porch.

As the shooting was happening, three children, ages 11, 7, and 3, were inside the house, according to witness statements.

Police say they found spent shotgun shells in the street and casings for handgun ammunition on the ground. Authorities also found spent shell casings on the ground of the driveway and porch, which backed up the witness' statement.

Officers found bullet holes in a tree by the house and also in a nearby neighbor's pickup.

Suspected blood was found in the carport and on the ground next to the front porch. However, police say Travis and Washington had left before officers arrived and police were unable to locate victims at area hospitals. Witnesses also didn't see where the blood came from.

At the time the police report was written, no arrests had been made. No injuries were reported among the witnesses on scene.

Anyone with information in the case can contact the Little Rock Police Dept.
