Greenbrier police are investigating after one student reported seeing a threat directed toward the school district last week.

Authorities tell KATV the threat said, "Greenbrier Beware," but police haven't released additional information on what it said due to not being able to find the post.

On Friday, Greenbrier Public Schools posted a statement from the superintendent on its Facebook page.

Superintendent Scott Spainhour said the threat reported was for the afternoon of April 18.

"There will be a strong law enforcement presence at each school on Wednesday and all buildings will remain locked," Spainhour stated.

As they continue investigating, police say they have not identified the threat yet.

At this point, the police chief says they don't even know if the post was directed toward Greenbrier, Arkansas, or a Greenbrier in another state.
