Human remains found in Pine Bluff field identified as missing man

Human skeletal remains found in a Pine Bluff field have been identified by the State Crime Lab as a man who was last seen in March.

The Pine Bluff Police Department says the remains of William Hopson, 39, were found in a field in the 2200 block of W. 30th Ave. on September 27.

Hopson was last seen near the area of 28th and Camden Rd. on March 15, 2017.

The identification was made by clothing found with the remains and comparing surgical implants against Hopson's medical records.

Authorities say there were no signs of trauma on the remains.

The cause of death has been listed by the State Crime Lab as undetermined.
