Pine Bluff police are investigating after a man, who was suffering gunshot wounds, drove into a home and died.

Early Saturday morning, officers were called to South Cherry Street where they found a silver Hyundai Elantra had struck the corner of a home.

A witness at the scene told police he called 9-1-1 after driving by to check the security of his late grandmother's home and finding the car had hit it.

Authorities say the driver, identified as David Ibemesi, had multiple gunshot wounds and was slumped over in the seat.

A neighbor told authorities he was in his garage when he heard about 15 gunshots coming from the area of South Cherry Street and West 28th Street and then saw the Elantra drive into the home.

Ibemesi was taken to the hospital for injuries and was later pronounced dead.
