Little Rock man accused of 5 armed robberies in 3 weeks
LITTLE ROCK (KATV) —
Police on Saturday arrested a man in five armed robberies that occurred near his Little Rock home over the past three weeks.
Canaan Alrdridge, 19, was charged with five counts of aggravated robbery and theft of property.
Police arrested Aldridge shortly before 10 a.m. Saturday after he robbed a Dollar General store at 7710 Colonel Glenn Road, according to an arrest report. He was reportedly carrying a knife and stolen cash. Police also connected Aldridge to a robbery at the business the morning of Jan. 31.
Aldridge is accused of robbing a separate Dollar General store at 3500 John Barrow Road on two occasions. That business was held up the morning of Jan. 25 and the evening of Feb. 3, according to police.
Aldridge was also charged in a robbery at a Little Rock restaurant. Police said he held up Great American Wings at 6323 Colonel Glenn Road on Jan. 20.
Each of the robberies occurred within 1.5 miles of Aldridge's home at 2805 Tatum Street.
Aldridge was being held in the Pulaski County jail Sunday.
