Little Rock police are investigating a homicide that occurred during an apparent robbery early Sunday morning.

According to the police department, one man died and two others, including a 12-year-old boy, were injured during the robbery at 2115 Howard Street.

Authorities say two suspects, who had their faces covered, forced their way into the home around 4:45 a.m. and began demanding items.

According to investigators, the suspects struck the 12-year-old across the face with a pistol and shot Kenneth Lewis, 59. At that point, 50-year-old Danny Lewis was walking into the room and was shot multiple times by the suspects, who then fled.

Police say Danny died at the scene. Kenneth was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and the juvenile was taken to Children's Hospital with not life-threatening injuries.

The suspects are described as two black males with their faces covered by bandannas.

Police say the Danny and Kenneth are brothers and the juvenile is the grandson.

The fatal shooting marks Little Rock's 39th homicide of the year.
