Little Rock police say a shooting that happened on Colonel Glenn on Monday afternoon appears to have stemmed from a carjacking.

Police say the victim was at an apartment complex near the intersection of Colonel Glenn and South University and then collapsed at the Taco Bell across the street where authorities located him. The injuries are expected to be not life threatening.

The victim is described as a 17-year-old male, police declining to release his identity due to his age.

Authorities describe the suspect as a light-skinned, heavyset black male who has an afro and is dressed in white.

Police believed the suspect was possibly driving the vehicle he stole from the victim, a white 2004 Ford Mustang. LRPD reported late Monday night that they had recovered the vehicle abandoned and they would be bringing it in to process.
