LRPD launch investigation into FB post with racial slur, negative sign at police station
Little Rock (KATV) —
The Little Rock Police Department has launched an Internal Affairs investigation after receiving a letter from the Black Police Officer Association making allegations about a recruit in the Training Academy.
Chief Kenton Buckner said he received a letter from BPOA on November 20, stating a recruit currently in the training academy made racial slurs on his personal Facebook. Chief Buckner said the letter also stated that a negative photograph showing a stick figure shooting another person in the head had been posted on the wall of the Downtown Property Crimes Detective Division.
Both allegations are being investigated by Internal Affairs.
