A woman told police she caught a man taking video or pictures of her while she was nude in a local gym's tanning booth.

Eric Shane Couch, 30, of Hot Springs, has been charged with video voyeurism, a felony.

Police responded to Flex Fitness at 2303 Albert Pike Road in Hot Springs on the evening of June 26. The female victim told police that as she was getting out of a tanning bed and getting dressed, she noticed a cell phone being held over the partitioning wall that separated two tanning booths.

The victim said she left the room then confronted Eric Couch as he walked out of the tanning booth minutes later, but he walked past her and left.

Detectives were able to contact Couch by phone on June 28. They said he told them he did hold his cell phone over the wall of the tanning rooms. He reportedly told police he could see the naked woman from behind as she was getting dressed. Couch told police he did it out of temptation and then canceled his gym membership that same day.

A warrant was issued for his arrest on July 6, and Couch was arrested July 12. He was booked in the Garland County jail on $2,500 bond.
