Authorities are investigating after a robbery at a Little Rock apartment complex Tuesday night.

Police say they were called out to the Big Country Apartments located in the 6200 block of Colonel Glenn Road just before 8 p.m.

When officers arrived on scene, they spoke with the individual who reported the incident, Houston Ford, 25, of Hot Springs.

Ford told police he stopped by a local pawn shop on South University to purchase a television when he was approached by another individual outside. This man told him that he had a television to sell for $50 cash.

Ford said he agreed to the transaction and drove the individual to the Big Country Apartments.

Ford says when they got to the apartment complex, the individual entered an apartment and then exited empty-handed. When Ford asked where the television was, the individual took $20 cash from his hand and punched him in the face multiple times, causing him to fall to the ground.

Ford told police the individual then kicked him several times in the chest and stomach before fleeing the area on foot in an unknown direction.

Police were unable to locate the individual.
