Police: Man shot in shoulder at Little Rock apartment complex
A 46-year-old man was reportedly shot as the vehicle he was riding in was leaving Little Rock's St. Johns Apartments on Saturday night.
Little Rock police were called to the scene at 8:30 p.m. and located 15 shell casings in one of the breezeways at the apartments. They later learned the victim was taken to St. Vincent's hospital by private vehicle.
At the hospital, the victim told police he had gone to the apartments to visit his cousin and was ready to leave. He was getting a ride from a friend when he was shot as the vehicle drove through the exit gate.
His friend drove him to the hospital, where he was treated for not life-threatening wounds to his shoulder and a superficial wound to the right side of his head.
While police did arrest someone for obstruction of governmental operations as they were investigating at the apartments, it was not immediately clear whether that suspect faces any charges in connection to the shooting.
The investigation into the crime is ongoing.
