Man, woman arrested in Hot Springs homicide investigation
HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (KATV) —
A man and woman were taken into custody in Hot Springs after a man's body was found by a local who was walking his dog in a cemetery.
On Wednesday, 42-year-old Steven Wood of Hot Springs and 21-year-old Stephanie Shell of Malvern were arrested in connection to the death of 31-year-old Corey Richardson, who was found dead at a Greenwood Cemetery on October 23.
Wood is facing a charge of first-degree murder and hindering apprehension or prosecution. Shell was jailed for hindering apprehension or prosecution.
Both Woods and Shell are being held at the Garland County Detention Center.
Hot Springs police worked with the Arkansas Community Corrections Response Team, US Marshals Service, Arkansas State Police, Malvern Police Department and the Hot Spring County Sheriff Department to make the arrests.
Additional arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
