One killed in interstate crash that caused traffic delays
PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. (KATV) —
The Pulaski County coroner confirms one fatality in a wreck that caused traffic delays near the Interstate 30 and Interstate 40 exchange Monday morning.
The Arkansas Department of Transportation called the wreck on the I-30 eastbound ramp "extremely bad" in a tweet posted at 10:53 a.m., saying drivers should expect major delays and consider an alternate route.
At approximately 11:32 a.m., the department posted that the section of the roadway closed due to the accident had reopened.
The coroner says the victim was a young white male. The next of kin has not yet been notified.
According to the coroner, there were other injuries in the crash, but the extent of those injuries is unknown.
State Police are handling the investigation.
