Victim identified in fatal shooting at Hot Springs convenience store

UPDATE (7/8):

Authorities have identified the victim killed in a shooting at a Hot Springs convenience store Monday night.

Officers say Derek Antonie Duvall,29, of Hot Springs was located lying in the parking lot on the south side of the gas station. Duvall had been shot once in the chest.

Police say CPR was administered to Duvall until additional emergency responders arrived, however; they were unsuccessful in resuscitating him.

No suspect information is known at this time.

A man is dead after a shooting at a Hot Springs convenience store Monday night.

Cpl. Kirk Zaner tells Channel 7 the shooting occurred at approximately 8:45 p.m. at the Valero gas station at 1202 Central Avenue.

Police are still working the scene and gathering information. The coroner is also on scene.

The name of the victim and his age have not been released at this time as the investigation continues.
