Five suspected burglars led officers with Maumelle Police Department on a chase early Wednesday, after supposedly burglarizing Walgreens.

Around 4:00 a.m., officers arrived at the store at the corner of Odom and Maumelle Boulevard, after the alarm went off. They saw the front door of the store was damaged.

"Two officers arrived simultaneously,” said Capt. Jim Hansard with Maumelle Police Department. “They both noticed that the--that a car was leaving that area."

In video you’ll see only on Channel 7, officers take off after the silver Nissan Rogue.

Shortly into the pursuit, one person bails, then the small SUV drives on for three minutes before stopping at Ouachita Drive and Millwood Circle.

That’s where you see another suspect jump out and run, while the others stay in the car to be later handcuffed by the responding officer.

"Get out of the car!” the officer yelled. “Get out! Get out of the car! Hit the ground!”

Police link all five to the burglary: Tyrone Trammer, 31; Saleta Winn, 29; Malik Johnson, 19; Deanthony Roquemore, 20; Ebony Kiffa, 30.

While all five are from the Houston area, police don't believe they fled from Hurricane Harvey.

After searching the vehicle, police say they found a substantial amount of narcotics inside that were taken from the pharmacy.

"It's not five pills,” said Capt. Hansard. “I mean, this is a lot of prescription narcotics. Ninety-five percent of what they took is narcotics, pain medication-type stuff."

The two that leaped out of the car were both arrested before 8 o'clock rush hour.

All suspects face the following charges: commercial burglary (felony), possession of instruments of a crime, possession of prescription drugs with Intent to deliver (felony), theft of property (felony), and fleeing.
