The two other deceased victims of a Yell County triple homicide have now been identified.

Arkansas State Police say Rita Miller, 61, and Ciera Miller, 17, were shot and killed Thursday by suspect James Arthur Bowden outside a home on Gum Springs Road near Dardanelle.

Police say the two were killed after Bowden also shot and killed Yell County Sheriff's Deputy Lt. Kevin Mainhart during a traffic stop on Highway 27.

According to police, Bowden was then involved in a standoff with law enforcement for more than five hours, during which he held one hostage, identified as Haley McHam, 31, of Yell County.

McHam was able to escape the house shortly before the suspect gave himself up to police.

McHam talked to Channel 7 News Friday, telling us the two victims killed at the house were her mother and her daughter.

Police have not released any further information on a possible motive for the killings.

Bowden is being charged with three counts of capital murder.
