Police: Man purchases item at Little Rock CVS, returns to rob cash register

Police are searching for the suspect responsible for stealing approximately $150 from a CVS Pharmacy in Little Rock early Thursday morning.

LRPD says they received a call about an aggravated robbery at the CVS located in the 1100 block of S. University Ave.

An employee told police an unknown suspect wearing a black hoodie had entered the store around 3:30 a.m. He asked the individual to remove the hoodie, which they did. The suspect then purchased an item and left the store.

The employee then told police the suspect returned a short while later asking for a refund. When the employee said he could not give him one he bought another item, waited for the cash register to be opened, then displayed a black handgun and told him to give him the money.

Police say the suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.

According to the police report, the suspect is described as a dark complexioned male, with a light build and black hair.
