Police:Teen shot in head in Pine Bluff

Authorities are investigating after a 15-year-old was shot in Pine Bluff Sunday evening.

Pine Bluff Police said officers were dispatched to 26th and Indiana Street around 8:50 p.m. for gunshots.

According to the police report, an officer stopped a car with emergency flashers that was leaving the area.

The driver, Patrick Lambert, 28, told police that one of the passengers had been shot.

Lambert said he stopped at the stop sign at 26th and Indiana when a grey car stopped in front of his vehicle and began shooting.

Authorities say the victim was a 15-year-old male with a single gunshot wound to the head.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Officials say his condition is unknown at this time.

Another female who was in the car at the time of the incident was struck by debris, however, her injuries are minor.

Due to the victim's age, his identity will not be released.

Police say there is no motive for the shooting at this time.
