The Arkansas Razorbacks family just got a bit bigger - by about 5 lbs. and 8 oz.

The University of Arkansas, which has one of the nation's longest tenured live mascot programs, announced the addition of Tusk V, the son of current mascot Tusk IV.

Tusk V was born on April 19 at a family farm in Dardanelle and he already has a line of work ahead of him. He is scheduled to take over official mascot duties in time for the 2019 football season after his father retires.

Tusk V came from a litter of four other Razorbacks. The university says his striping, a camouflage that the babies are born with, will go away once he is old enough to take care of himself.

The live mascot program started in 1997, when Tusk I was selected to serve as the mascot and the title has been passed down through his family since then.
