The North Little Rock Police Department is working to identify a suspect who robbed a Dollar General over the weekend.

According to police, the suspect entered the Dollar General store, located in the 4600 block of J.F.K. Blvd., on May 13 and loaded items into a shopping cart and came to the cash register.

The police report states he then asked the clerk for some cigarettes and the clerk asked him for his ID. At this point, authorities say the suspect said he had a gun, that he was taking all the merchandise and to call the cops after he left.

Though the suspect indicated he had a gun, the clerk told police he did not see one.

The report describes the suspect as a black male who stands between 6' and 6'3", weighs approximately 240 pounds and has a beard. He was wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and a red or maroon baseball-style hat.

Anyone with information is told to contact North Little Rock police.
