Sheriff's Office: Convicted felon, girlfriend arrested for possession of drugs, firearms

Investigators say a convicted felon is behind bars after a drug overdose led to his home being searched where multiple drugs and drug paraphernalia were discovered.
Lonoke County Sheriff's Office says they were called out to execute a search warrant in reference to a drug overdose in the area of Dolphin Lane just outside of Ward Friday morning.
Authorities say the victim and suspect Regan Derek Payne, a convicted felon, had been transported to a hospital by the time they arrived.
During their search of the residence, investigators discovered. suspected marijuana, meth, paraphernalia, syringes, scales, ledgers for drug sales, and packages used for drug sales.
When deputies attempted to arrest Payne at the hospital, he evaded them. They said they then waited for him at his residence where he ran into the woods.
Payne was arrested a short while later, according to authorities, and is being held in the Lonoke County Jail.
Officials say Payne's girlfriend, Victoria Lee, who also lives at the residence, was taken into custody as well.
Both Payne and Lee face charges of simultaneous possession of firearms and drugs, possession of firearms by certain persons, fleeing, possession of controlled substances with purpose to deliver, maintaining a drug premises, possession of drug paraphernalia, and endangering the welfare of a minor.
