The McCrory Police Department has inactivated a Silver Alert for a missing woman and the Prairie County sheriff says her son has booked in jail in connection to her disappearance.

Merle Marie Miller, 82, was found Sunday, days after the police department activated a Silver Alert for her.

Sheriff Rick Hickman says Miller was found in good health in Prairie County and was taken to the hospital.

When reporting her disappearance, police said she may have been picked up by someone possibly driving a blue Toyota Tundra.

According to the sheriff, her son, Andy Miller, took her and is now facing charges of felon in possession of a firearm, terroristic threatening and other minor charges.

He is booked in the Prairie County Detention Center.
