Vehicle pursuit ends in shooting in Bald Knob, State Police investigate

Bald Knob police have requested the assistance of State Police after a car pursuit ended in a shooting late Wednesday night.

According to the police report, Bald Knob officers initiated a pursuit near Bald Knob along U.S. Highway 67 that ended in Beebe with the suspect driver reportedly attempting to take his own life.

Officials say the driver, Philip Stroisch,42, of Chesterfield Missouri, was critically wounded after reportedly shooting himself when he crashed his car into a local law enforcement's patrol vehicle.

Stroisch was wanted by Missouri authorities for felony assault, according to State Police.

Multiple law enforcement agencies including Judsonia police and White County Sheriff's deputies were involved in the pursuit.
