Woman shot while walking to boyfriend's home in Little Rock
LITTLE ROCK (KATV) —
A woman walking to her boyfriend's home in Little Rock was shot early Tuesday, police reported.
Officers were called about 8:27 a.m. to CHI St. Vincent Infirmary, where Makalla Collin was being treated for a gunshot wound in her left leg, according to a police report. Collin, 18, reportedly told investigators she was walking to her boyfriend's home around midnight when she heard gunfire in the area of West 36th and Walker streets.
Collins said she "felt something hit her leg" and started running, according to the report. She went to her boyfriend's home, where they cleaned her wound and later went to the hospital for help.
Police said Collins injuries were not life-threatening.
Collins said she heard people arguing before the gunfire.
No description of a shooter was available.
