The rapper known as 'Finese2Tymes' was not in court on Monday, his attorney asking the judge for a continuance.

The rapper's real name is Ricky Hampton, he’s also the same performer who was holding a concert at a Little Rock night club where 25 people were shot back in July.

On Monday, he had a scheduled plea and arraignment at the St. Francis County Circuit Court for charges stemming from June 25th, when he allegedly shot at a car and hit the driver outside of Club Envy in Forrest City.

Hampton is facing battery, aggravated assault, terrorist threatening and criminal mischief out of Forrest City. He’s currently being held at a federal detention center in Mason, Tennessee after being charged in federal court for felon in possession of a firearm. Back in July, Hampton pleaded not guilty to the federal charge.

His attorney, Ron Davis, appeared on behalf of his client and told KATV state prosecutors never filed the paperwork to bring Hampton to court on Monday. Davis asked the judge for a continuance, which was scheduled for February 20th. Davis said he expects the state to request Hampton’s appearance by then.

KATV will continue to update this story.
