Governor Rick Scott declared a State of Emergency in all 67 counties of Florida.

Hurricane Irma has strengthened to a Category 4 storm and as of 5 p.m., Miami-Dade up to Boca Raton were in the forecast cone.

Spaghetti models have predicted an ominous track for the powerful storm through the center of the state.

“Hurricane Irma is a major and life-threatening storm and Florida must be prepared. I have continued to be briefed by the Florida Division of Emergency Management on Hurricane Irma and current forecast models have Florida in Irma’s path – potentially impacting millions of Floridians,” said Scott in a statement.

Locals are already stocking up on supplies.
