Bielema: Koilan Jackson suffers torn ACL in practice
Razorback freshman wide receiver Koilan Jackson suffered a torn ACL in Tuesday's practice, Bret Bielema revealed Wednesday on the SEC Coaches Teleconference.
"Yesterday in one-on-one drills, he tweaked his knee, actually got an ACL repair job.
"I don’t know if it’s going to be this week or next to get the swelling down."
The Robinson grad and former Landers Award finalist will redshirt and miss the season.
“Kolian had been doing really well. This is his first year playing wide receiver exclusively. He got to play quarterback, he played a little wide-out, little bit of everything and a guy that’s obviously very well-versed in football with the success of his family."
Jackson is the second Razorback the team has lost to injury in the last week. Cornerback Ryan Pulley will miss the season after suffering a pectoral injury in the game against Florida A&M.
