Former South Carolina running back David Williams will transfer to Arkansas, he announced on Twitter Friday night.

"That hunger turnt me into a hog," he wrote.

Williams, who had previously announced his intention to transfer to UConn, is a graduate transfer with one season of eligibility remaining. He can play immediately.

Williams tallied 239 yards and three touchdowns on 56 carries for the Gamecocks last season.

The news comes as Rawleigh Williams III decided to hang up his cleats due to a second serious neck injury. Devwah Whaley is expected to step into the starting role.
